Hi, I’m Alister. I’ve been petsitting for over 5 years, caring for animals of all kinds - from week-old puppies to senior dogs and cats, plus goats, birds, fish, and more. Originally from the UK, I’ve spent the last 5 years living in Vancouver, and now travel seasonally between different regions while continuing to offer trusted in-home pet care.
I provide routine, love, play, and medication as needed, all while staying in your home, so your pets enjoy the comfort and consistency in the environment they’re used to. I run my own remote business, which gives me the flexibility to dedicate genuine time and attention to the animals and homes I care for. I’m also handy around the house and enjoy taking care of plants and household needs while you’re away.
I’m typically based in Canada from spring through summer, the UK in late summer and autumn, and occasionally travel further afield during the winter months. This lifestyle also allows me to build long-term relationships with clients across different regions, with many pet owners returning for repeat sits throughout the year. I stay in your home and care for your pets with love, routine, and attention, including feeding, play, and medication if needed.

I offer seasonal, location-based pet sitting:
- Now - August (Canada): Vancouver, surrounding areas, Vancouver Island, and the Sea to Sky
- August – October (UK): Available nationwide across the UK
I’m flexible and mobile within each region during these periods.
Pricing
Overnight in-home care has a suggested starting rate of:
Canada (CAD)

Cats: $45/night (plus GST)

Rates reflect the level of care, responsibility, and attention involved, and may vary depending on your pets and requirements.
To get started, share a few details about your pets and the dates you need. Based on that, I’ll provide a suggested rate based on your situation. From there, we’ll arrange a short video call to connect, go through everything, and make sure it’s a good fit on both sides.
Agreed payment is flexible depending on the situation - you’re welcome to pay what you can, or pay it forward if you’re able. Some clients choose to contribute more, helping keep this work accessible while maintaining a high standard of care.
